Elissa A. Perkins
New Jersey Family Law Attorney
Elissa A. Perkins, an associate with the firm, exclusively concentrates her practice in the area of matrimonial and family law. She is a member of the New Jersey state bar, as well as the bar of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mrs. Perkins is also an active member of the Ocean-Monmouth Family Law Inns of Court and belongs to both the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Monmouth County Bar Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Perkins served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph P. Quinn of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, Monmouth Vicinage for the 2009-2010 court term. She also previously served as an extern to Justice Barry T. Albin of the New Jersey Supreme Court and as an intern to the Honorable Richard C. Camp (Ret.) of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, Essex Vicinage.
While enrolled at Seton Hall University School of Law, from which she graduated in 2009, Mrs. Perkins was an Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Circuit Review. Additionally, she was a participant in the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competition, at which she earned the Best Petitioner’s Brief Award, and a participant in the Ronald J. Riccio First-Year Moot Court Competition. Mrs. Perkins also took an active interest in Seton Hall’s Center for Social Justice, serving as a student attorney in the Family Law Clinic, as an intern in the Center’s Urban Revitalization Project, and as a research assistant. At Seton Hall, she was also a merit scholarship recipient, a Senator of the Student Bar Association, and President of the Haiti Rule of Law Society.
In 2006, Mrs. Perkins graduated with distinction from the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned degrees in Political Science and Journalism.
