Michael J. Fleres is a skilled attorney well versed in all aspects of family law, including dissolution of marriage, child custody and domestic violence. He zealously represents his clients with a keen sensitivity to the emotional considerations unique to the family law client. He has honed his trial skills through his domestic violence practice, where he has successfully defended those wrongfully accused and prosecuted on behalf of the victims.
Michael J. Fleres graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in biology and a minor in philosophy in 1997 where he earned 3 varsity letters as a member of Dayton's NCAA Div. I wrestling team. He earned his J.D. from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Law in 2000. While at Detroit Mercy, Mr. Fleres was a member of the Order of Barristers - Moot Court Honor Society and a participant in national competitions in corporate law and criminal law.
Mr. Fleres is an active member of State and local bar organizations. He is a member of the New Jersey State and Monmouth County Bar Associations, and is a Monmouth County Early Settlement Panelist. He is also a Barrister with the Haydn Proctor Inn of Court and the Ocean-Monmouth Inns of Court. Mr. Fleres co-authored with Peter C. Paras, Esq. the article "Custody to Non-Parents: An Overview of the Law and Procedures" published in the August 2009 issue of New Jersey Lawyer Magazine. He resides in Allentown with his wife and son. In addition, he is an Eagle Scout and active in Boy Scouts and youth sports.
